Make more Promises.

One of the biggest tracks this summer was "Promises", from the ever-bliss female vocalist, Andain (Wikipedia HERE). If you're trying to remember who she is, she was the voice in Tiesto's Beautiful Things.

There were about 13 remixes (official) for this huge track, but I have narrowed it down to my top three. It's difficult to put it in particular order, but what I may be able to share with you is the mood that comes with the respective remixes.

1. Marco V Remix

First up, is the remix by my favourite tech-trance producer, Marco V (official website HERE).

When I first heard this remix, I was amazed by Marco's fine touch. I have to say, Marco V is probably the reason I started to listen to techno. I love it as it has a dark, edgy and melodic elements.

I've actually played this track in my Sinful Soul Mix Vol. 1, if I'm not mistaken in track number 5. You'll see at least four tracks are made/remixed by Marco, and in fact, this is my first ever Mixset and it's generally a tech-trance mixset. 2. Myon & Shane 54 Summer of Love Mix

Myon & Shane 54 (official website HERE) are very famous with their "Summer of Love Mix" which is as you know, lovely and their "Triplet Monster Mix" which is as you know, monstrous.

This remix feels like summer full of love. I can imagine this track being played during an uplifting sets, it is really soothing and I can definitely imagine girls dancing sexily while singing along to it.

3. Gabriel & Dresden Remix

This duo (Wikipedia HERE) has been around since a decade ago, and after resting for few years, they decided to rock the dance world again.

Their remix of this track is tight with a darker feel, something I'd definitely play at 4 AM, you know, when you are ready to get dirty.

Other notable mentions are the ones from Nitrous Oxide, Soundprank and David Call.

Summer has ended, but not the smell and the sound of it. I am also blessed to live in a tropical, all-year-long summer and rain home.

To say that I only listen to electronic & dance music (EDM) is inaccurate. I admit, I spend more time building my foundation around electronic & dance, however the point is making music using electronic devices and software. That is the whole point.

The amount of time we spend doing something we are passionate about, is one of the elements to get a good grip of the surrounding. Having said that, every once in a while, I do bumped into some really inspirational music, from different genres.

I don't discriminate. I don't. My musical journey goes through many phases and encounters, having enjoyed different mixes and mashes to this point where I'm writing now. I love music, I muse your ears.

This, muses me.

Alright people.

I've got something I'd like to introduce to this space. I have been toying with the idea of music for a while, and it kind of get me in a nice way. I like it. I like to spend time on music. In fact, I have been mixing some tracks some time ago, and I think I should continue the momentum.

As many of you must have spent generous amount of time to surf porn, I, other than that, surf for music. My interest at the moment: Electronic music. Or EDM.

To ensure the longevity of my blog space and my music interest, I will try and post my favourite music, once a week, depending on the occasion/mood/laziness.

Rediscover purpose

This is somehow unplanned. I am in the middle of a really hectic schedule, and this week especially is the most intense week for me. Everything I have been doing since January this year, will come to the climax; a project I am involved since day one in 2008: Eco Film Fest.

Last night I was at the Green Drinks event at The Apartment KLCC, a last-Tuesday-of-the-month event where budding environmental-conscious people gather to, drink. In fact, we (the Team) were lucky to be given a slot to to promote our final EFF2011.

After the event started we got out to KLCC to find something less overpriced to eat. Half an hour after that we walked back to the event. Just in front of the Apartment entrance, I bumped into an old friend (if I'm considered a friend), my former schoolmate. I remembered I saw her status update in some social media platform a while ago when she just got married and everyone was congratulating her and stuff. She was with her husband, and my, she's pregnant. We chatted for couple of minutes and she asked me, "do you still work for the motorsports-thingy stuff?" and I answered, "no, I'm now doing environmental education stuff. Close to four years now." A moment later we made our own way.

The highlight of the story was not meeting an old friend, but rather the fact that I have been doing environmental work for four years. I came a long way; volunteer, part time, executive, and now, the Programme Manager.

And for so long I have done a stretch of things, extending beyond just environment. I write for my blog, I learn music, I lecture, I travel, I play, I party, I everything, in the name of self-development.

However after a while, I got too attached to my works, slowly sunken in the delusional fact that the only reason we all work is for money. Nothing is working without money. My self-development went down the gutter.

And funny, just now, in fact this past month, I've been getting few comments by people I know and I don't: We don't see your writing anymore.

God, a hobby I explored out of realising how crucial it is for my future benefit, was left noticed. Last time I felt like I have the need, the responsibility to write, but now, down the gutter.

It also made me realised how I missed writing; a simple, cheap fun to entertain myself and sometimes, for better or worse, I entertained (or annoyed) others. A hobby which I used to spend seriously to develop and train my honest opinions and thinking process which involves 90% of the time pure bullcrap. Craps take a lot of effort too.

Maybe I was caught in the heat of the moment. We grow older, our drive, our strength, our youthful charm, declining while on the contrary, the world demands more from us; more work, more money, more products.

So is this all worthwhile? The chase for money - something imaginary and feel so damn real?

It made me think that what I need to do is to think of what made me feel happy, what I feel good about, without compromising my commitments and responsibilities. I need to rediscover the purpose of life, my life.

So what I'll do is, I'll start to write again. Or at least pay more attention to my belongings.

Allow me to welcome myself back.

Success vs Failure

I wonder how many people like to talk about failure. Or comfortable discussing it. Or rather, admit that once (or more), they too faced it. It is a jinx. Like what "Laws of Attraction" or even the 'great' Paulo Coelho must have brainwashed you, you never speak of negativity, or "the universe shall conspire and helping you to achieve it," in this case, FAILURE.

Imagine if you don't feel too good about yourself physically, you go to a physician, and run some tests, and see what's wrong with your physical. And then the expert says, "you have a flu." Then what would you do or say, "That's impossible doc, I never asked for it." Deny it?

Who ever ask to fall sick? Who ever ask to get injured? Who EVER ask to face failure?

The thing about failure is, it will always come to you. You will keep bumping on it. Whether you like it or not, more dramatically whether you're prepared, or not. Failure is natural. It's like a preset system that comes to you when your system runs in a strange way. It's an indicator that you need to run your system differently, or fix it. It is natural. It keeps the balance. It keeps the yin and yang.

The secret to success, is, to discuss failure; to admit, to examine, to recover, and to improve.

Just remember, there's around 7 billion people in this world, and every one of them have been through failure(s), even the most successful person must have gone through failures.

Some people believe that if you get "F" for your exam, you failed, but some sets a high standard that a mere "A-" is a failure. I'm sure even Bill Gates can't play basketball like I do. So is he a failure? To me he is. But is basketball important to him? Certainly not. It's about what is important and what is not.

Life is unexpected, regardless of the span. So get go, do what you do, find a reason to love it, keep doing it. Failure is the four corners of your wall, but fuck it. Smash it.

FABS vs BudakNakal

Okay just to update on my music quest with you guys, I have two accounts on PodOmatic now.

BudakNakal

Why, you ask?

First of all, I'm cheapskate. I don't have money to go Pro (USD200/year or something). I prefer amateurs; they are real, raw, crude, and often nasty.

Secondly, both monikers have different perspectives. FABS is actually more of my music preference, something I am more comfortable dealing with. Usually it is dance, fun and trance elements. I have always enjoyed this kind of music and FABS is more like it.

BudakNakal, on the other ball, is more of the different side of me. My alter ego? Could be. In case you don't know, BudakNakal is a Malay word for 'naughty boy' in English. It means I get to do something naughty with this name, so does my music. If you listen to it, it has more of techno, dubstep, and later something more smacky like electro or indie-rock maybe.

Shit actually I wanted to post all my podcast here, as an update, and I ended up ranting bullshit.

Okay.

My previous post was about my music production, you can find me at Soundcloud - BudakNakal. That's where I'll share my own music, my own sound.

I get so bad at writing now, I don't know what to write.

Anyway, I've got another place to share my interest in music, and it's called PodOmatic. This is a little bit different from my Soundcloud. This one is more like my podcast. Yes I know I can upload my podcast in Soundcloud but since I'm still observing which one has a better value-for-money, I'm trying out both on the 'lite version'.

You can also download it (there's a tab to it - on my webpage) and please, share it with everyone. This is my first upload although it is not my first mixset. I've done a few but it was shitty and I've been practicing and learn a few more things every now and then. Quite challenging when you learn everything, well almost everything on your own. But that's the fun part and the best one.

What is podcast? I don't know the right answer and I don't want to look up on Google and copy-and-paste here, trying to look smart.

To me, my podcast currently is more like sharing something my mixset/mixtape. I look for tracks (say, 10 tracks), find a good mood (hiphop, dance, trance) , mix it (don't mistaken it with 'Remix') and there you go.

Why?

I don't know. The thing about making a mixset, in my humble opinion is about getting the mood flowing. Yes a song or a track is supposed to be good, standing (or sitting) on its own. But for electronic musicians (or they call it DJ) usually plays a set of music that has a growing or flowing mood to it. It's like a journey.

I've been listening to some podcasts by some DJs, and man you'll get what I mean when you listen to it. I'm no DJ to explain it to you.

Everything, music production and mixing was done at Trancignal Studio (TS). Thanks to Gotjo and the other TS Team. We'll try to make it better, time by time.

In a brief conversation, a woman asked a man she was pursuing the question:

"What kind of man do you want to be?"

He sat quietly for a moment before looking her in the eye and asking, "Do you really want to know?"

Reluctantly, she said, "Yes."

He began to expound:

"As a man in this day and age, I am in a position to ask a woman what can I do for you that you cannot do for yourself?

I can pay the bills. I take care of the household without the help of any woman.... or man for that matter.

I am in the position to ask, "What else can I bring to the table?"

The woman looked at him. Clearly she thought that he was referring to money.

He quickly corrected her thought and stated, "I am not referring to money. I need something more."

"I need to be a man who is striving for excellence in every aspect of life."

She sat back in her chair, folded her arms, and asked him to explain.

He said:

"I need to be someone who is striving for excellence mentally because I need conversation and mental stimulation. I cannot be a simple-minded man.

I need to be someone who is striving for excellence spiritually because I don't need to be unequally yoked. Believers mixed with unbelievers is a recipe for disaster.

I need to be a man who is striving for excellence financially because I don't need a financial burden.

I need to be someone who is sensitive enough to understand what a woman go through as a woman, but strong enough to keep her grounded.

I need to be someone who has integrity in dealing with relationships. Lies and game playing are not my idea of a strong man.

I need to be a man who is family-oriented. The one who can be the leader and provider to the lives entrusted to me by God.

On behalf of myself, I would like to thank all of you who wished for my joyful birthday, and not to forget those who wished they should have could have would have wished the same thing to me: I thank you too.

I am grateful for all the reminders, of which telling me how many years I have remained on this Earth, and how many years left of the remain.

As for me, I still wish and work for my health, my wealth, and my stealth. It is rather obvious why this was also my last year's wish, and years past. Speaking of classic.

Twit my bird

I have a blog. No, in fact, I have three blogs, and a Facebook account.

However, sometime last year I was forcely introduced to Twitter by my cousin. Even though I am relatively new to it, it has become something that I really enjoy having around, and it is a good avenue for me to express my sarcasm, profanity and smartass remarks, also at the same time I'm able to share those thoughts to others.

I've followed many, and certainly un-followed a plenty, mainly because over time, their tweets became less and less interesting with a lot of anger. Vulgar words are fine with me, but this is different, if you know what I mean.

Apart from friends in which I normally enjoy their dull tweets, I try to be selective whenever I follow someone else. I guess I want just enough amount of decent tweets. The rest I hope the retweet (RT) reaches me.

I also tend to follow fictional characters, and since a Twitter account does not require you to be a 'real' person, I am free to be creative with my choices.

Eventually, I suppose I need to also be selective and carefully choose what I want to write and how I write it. Grammar and spelling needs to be in check, although not necessarily have to be perfect, as long as I know I'm doing it on purpose.

Please do not encourage yourself to write in short forms unless you talk privately with your girlfriend. I know it is a 140-character thing, but instead of writing short forms, try to be more serious about choosing better words. Example: down to earth (3 words) vs. humble (1 word). See what I mean? This will train you to come up with something concise and sharp, otherwise known as witty.

I will not RT unless I know that person, and only if it matters to me, even in a small way especially when we are living in the age where there are too many false information and cheap gimmicks.

Why do I need to be cautious when I write something in my own space? Your account is some kind of an identity, your identity. People do not know you and the do not need to know you personally in order to follow your tweet. So whatever you write something, others can project an image of your character or imagine you based on your tweets. Some people might find you amusing, funny, smart, sexy, angry, shallow or just plain dumb. Of course, it's your choice.

Why am I saying this? Try read back each of your own post and then ask yourself, "Would I follow myself, if I was another person?" If your answer is "Yes, I would," then I suggest you read again.

Twitter is a powerful platform, and the speed of information being traveled in it is extremely fast. You can get your words out to the world within seconds.

So many people can write, but can they write in just 140 characters?

One of the fun parts is when you jump from one account to another and read their tweets randomly along the way, and you find someone/something that interests you. It's like digging for mine, you might find many things, and eventually some rare gems.

You may find everything from old friend, random person, group, wisdom, shop, celebrity, super villain, even death.

Setiap tahun masuk bulan Februari isu Valentine's Day mesti jadi modal basi banyak pihak. Bosan nak dengar. Tapi sebab dah hari-hari dengar benda sama gua rasa nak berkata-kata sikit.

Malas nak cerita sejarah pasal Saint Valentine yang mati/kena bunuh apa bagai. Itu mengarut. Tambahan, kalau di 'Wiki' perihal Valentine's Day ini pun tak ada bukti kukuh ia berkait rapat dengan cerita-cerita karut yang kita dengar sebelum-sebelum ini.

Beberapa persialan yang gua nak hujahkan (bukan typo walaupun huruf 'I' dan 'O' masing-masing bersebelahan)

1. Golongan Pertama: Ekstremis

a. Golongan ni memang berotak delusional serta negatif yang kronik. Dia saja yang betul, yang salah semuanya orang lain. Dia ingat dia maksum macam Nabi S.A.W.
b. Dia ingat dia pandai sangat. Benda yang dia tak suka dia cakap HARAM, yang dia suka semua jadi HALAL.
c. Khutbah Jumaat patut utamakan benda yang lebih penting i.e Maulidur Rasul, ini sibuk nak masuk spotlight cerita Valentine's Day. Fokus tak betul.
d. Bila berdebat memang pantang kalah. Bila disuruh cerita sejarah Valentine's Day, ada berpuluh versi. Maksudnya ilmu belum cukup tinggi, dan terlalu percaya khabar angin dan bukti sejarah yang lemah. Kalau nak buktikan sesuatu itu salah atau tidak bermoral, tunjukkan bukti secara konkrit.
d. Macam tu haramkanlah sambutan Hari Raya, pasal Nabi S.A.W tak ajar bagi angpau, beli baju mahal-mahal, ziarah kubur setahun sekali. Tabur bunga atas kubur tu ajaran Islam ke?
e. Sibuk sangat nak betulkan orang lain. Macam tu haramkanlah orang pergi tengok wayang, pasal hal remaja dan orang tua pergi beromen dalam panggung tu dah berpuluh tahun dah.
f. Habis tu bila Hari Pahlawan, kita boleh pula sambut? Buat perarakan, pergi kubur menangis semua? Buat tugu kasi orang sembah?
g. Sambutan Tahun Baru, ikut budaya mana? Pergi lah lawan semua sambutan. Jangan berat sebelah.
h. Habis orang yang jual bunga ros, cokelat, kad ucapan pun kira haram lah?
i. Kalau sambutan Hari Thaipusam, penganut Hindu berarak di Batu Caves, siapa yang jaga trafik? Takkan orang Hindu juga? Mesti ada orang Islam kawal trafik juga kan? Itu kira haram ke? Maksudnya kita menyokong upacara keagamaan agama lain ke?
j. Kalau waktu umat Islam solat Jumaat, boleh pula anggota polis atau RELA penganut agama Hindu dan Buddha yang tolong kawal lalu lintas? Boleh pula?
k. Nampak macam tak relevan, tapi persoalannya ialah, apakah garis panduan kita menentukan soal halal-haram ni? Takkan hanya sebab sakit mata dan rasa pahit tengok remaja-remaja keluar beramai-ramai di bandar sempena Valentine's Day dah dikira jatuh hukum haram?
l. Habis tu kau janganlah keluar, jangan pergi dinner dengan bini kau kat luar, kurung diri dalam rumah, jangan tengok TV, jangan makan cokelat, jangan siram bunga. Itu semua haram.
m. Kepada tuan kedai runcit ekstremis, jangan jual cokelat, kad ucapan atau bunga kepada siapa-siapa pun hari ni. Itu juga kira subahat. Haram.

2. Golongan Kedua: Jahiliah

a. Ini golongan yang lagi hampeh, perangai sensitif tak beragak. EQ rendah. Kerja dia hanya tau nak kondem golongan ekstremis saja.
b. Lagi lahanat daripada golongan ekstremis. Benda yang tak berfaedah nak diagung-agungkan.
c. Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan yang diwakili cendekiawan Islam (harap-harap tak makan cendawan ajaib) dah buat keputusan, yang kau nak melatah buat apa? Tak ada perasaan hormat kepada sebuah institusi yang bertauliah.
d. Benda sambutan Valentine's ni memang menghabiskan duit dan selalu terbabas, mengaku sajalah.
e. Kalau kau kemaruk sangat nak beli bunga, cokelat, dinner bayar dua kali ganda, kau buat lah, tapi tak payah nak bising-bising. Nak impress awek tak kena tempat, immature.
f. Kalau kau ketagih sangat nak sambut Valentine's, tak payah lah nak menyalak-nyalak. Ganja tu haram kan? Hisap diam-diam sudahlah, kau nak satu dunia tau ke?
g. Tanggungjawab seorang Islam mengikut hukum agama yang berlandaskan Quran, Sunnah, Ijma' dan Qiyas. Kalau rasa-rasa tak tahu, pergilah belajar. Kalau malas, diam sudahlah.
h. Kalau susah sangat, buka buku sejarah, cari satu peristiwa yang menarik, buat hari baru yang lebih spesel daripada Valentine's.
i. Takkan kau orang tak sedar kau jadi mangsa Kempen Pemasaran (marketing gimmick) atau mangsa permainan ekonomi Kapitalis? Ini bukan isu sambutan Kristian, ini isu perang psaikologi golongan kapitalis untuk mengaut keuntungan atas kebongokan orang-orang yang jahil. Dan juga misi menguasai dunia oleh golongan Illuminati.

3. Golongan Ketiga: Kafir

a. Ini paling tak ada guna dalam isu ini. Masalah agama orang lain, dia pula nak jadi hero.
b. Memperlekehkan keputusan dalaman agama orang lain. Kau bakar duit kertas, kereta kertas semua masa nenek kau mati, ada orang lain nak kritik? Duit kau, itu kau punya pasal lah, betul?
c. Ini semua isu Islamophobia. Orang Islam nak pakai hijab, kau suruh buka. Habis si Bai tu pakai sanggul kat kepala tu tak ada pun orang lain kompelin. Kalau ada kes bom, mesti Islam. Tak ada ke golongan ekstremis agama lain yang kaki bom orang lain?
d. Kau tau tak babi tu banyak kuman? Tau pun, tak ada pun orang nak halang kau makan. See what I mean?
e. Kau sebenarnya bengang pasal boyfriend kau Muslim, kau pula agama lain. Orang lain pergi celebrate, boyfriend kau takut nak keluar.
f. Kau bengang pasal bisnes kau mungkin terjejas.
g. Tolonglah, jangan nak menyibuk isu dalaman agama orang lain. It shows that you have a bunch of your own goddamn problems but have no brain to solve it.

Let's talk about hobby-slash-potential-future-career. More like a reality check. Or a solid knock on your head about what you love to do in life that means so much to you and to the world, but in the end it's just something you love to do, nothing more than that.

One example, and the most misconception/mislabelling a.k.a poyo tak bertempat: PHOTOGRAPHER.

1. If you own a DSLR it doesn't make you a photographer. At most, it shows that you are either:
a. A kid from a well-off family and caught up in the 'green grass' syndrome
b. A kid who knows how to manipulate their not-so-rich parents
c. A person who has deep interest/curiosity in photography (with very little knowledge)

2. Don't worry, most people do get into something under false assumptions. Something like, "I love to capture moments." or, "I'll get invited to cool events/parties and meet pretty people." What does that mean, really? That you can be a stalker, or peeping tom? A pervert?

3. Many so-called photographers take wedding pictures. Is it really that interesting, the wedding jobs, or is it because you get to finally charge some couples your 'ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL RATE' at least once in their lifetime?

4. Those who are professional photographers, get invited to events and take pictures of pretty faces, beautiful things, amazing places and so on. Great. But remember, it's your job. Nothing to be extra proud of. Really.

5. A photographer gets to take pictures because that's their job. Sometimes something special, but that's about it.

6. The reasons why some things (ie., photography) suddenly became an popular hobby are:
a. The tools became cheaper and cheaper
b. Easier to get/purchase
c. Many people are doing it, therefore it becomes less awkward (ie., Rempit)

7. If you really want to be a photographer (or anything for that matter) you need more than just, "I love to capture moments." Or if it really is, stop self-labled yourself as a "photographer".

8. Having the backstage passes to snap pictures of artists who naturally crave their pictures taken but don't really care who takes it as long as they get their powdered faces on the magazines don't make you a cool photographer.

9. The price of your camera isn't an indicator of your skills.

10. Shut up and just do your job.

11. This also goes to those who think they are a DJ, model, skater, cook, fashionista, or many other fad hobbies.

Music is like how a feeling would sound. You feel it, in a way only you can describe it in your own mind, but not with words. There are so many feelings inside a human's mind, same goes to music; some feelings are simple, some are deep and complicated. Yuna is simple, Seven Collar T-Shirt is deep, both are good nonetheless.

If music need lyrics, where do all the classical music fall into? FAKE?

If you listen to a song sang in a different language and you don't understand a single goddamn word (take Japanese or Romanian for example), would you not call it a REAL music?

If you listen to electronic music, trance for instance, there's no lyrics, or minimal, repetitive lyrics, would you not call it REAL music? Take Daft Punk's "Around The World". It doesn't really make sense but the song nailed it, worldwide.

Björk talk crazy stuff in her lyrics, not to mention the music are disturbing most of the times, yet she has won multiple awards and concert tickets are usually sold out.

Music, or art, or even civilization, is a progress. It's a process of redefining the previous works.

REAL music has no boundaries.

No.

I like mango. In fact, I really like it. It's a beautiful fruit, and the taste is really distinctive. Sweet-sour. Yellow-gold in color, sometimes with a shade of red or orange.

And when you peel it carefully, the fruit is clean, shiny, and inviting. Awesome.

I haven't had mango for quite a while. More like 6 months or so. But today is a good day. And I'm well fed with mango.

When a baby is hungry, we feed them. But sometimes or more, we give pacifier to 'trick' them to believe they are actually being fed with real food, which is not.

It works, nonetheless.

Maybe i should get a pacifier to trick myself into believing it's a cigarette.

Then I'll embarrassed (is it single 'r' or single 's' or double both?) myself and maybe, I'll stop smoking cigarette.

Or maybe it'll create a new hype in town, adults with pacifier. It does look sexy and seductive though.

A bunch of Alpha Male and A BLONDE.

At this very moment I'm watching The Bachelorette. Who the hell watch this show? Anyway it's about a girl (in this case, subject is a blonde) who's looking for a perfect guy for her among 24 young, confident (cam whore and desperate), obviously good-looking men. At the end of the show, there will only be one man that she believe, is the 'Perfect One'. (Or, she's most 'satisfied' with).

She, the blonde, gets the chance to get to know each of these men in a very brief, private and small group session. She will then awarded some of the men a rose that means they still have the chance to win her heart. I tell you people, it's so fucking intense.

However, since I'm in my Zen (thus make me highly observant and analytical), it made me 'see' the subtle/subconcious things especially the characters of the men and the blonde in this show. What I'm trying very hard to say/type right now is that in order for you to be able to take a shot to made into this show is that you need to be extremely good in these traits (and/or):

1. Sense of humor. Gotta be a real funny man. Not like "ha........ ha........." funny but really "HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!".
2. Sensitive. Not the emotional crying type, but the type that 'connects emotionally' with a real woman. Kinda like, "oh, you're having your PMS? It's alright, I totally understand how you feel."
3. Skillful. Each of them amazingly have different skillset(s). Ukelele, carpenting, wrestling, painting. Name 20 other skill sets. It's like the Top 24 of America's Got Talent, but good looking and straight.
4. Agressive. You can smell piss all over the mansion. So bad you can even smell it on everybody's shoes. They are really territorial.
5. Smart. By that I don't mean intelligent, like scienticts or engineers and that kind. I'm thinking more like..... politician 'smart'. Their head and colon/rectum are alike, it's either full of air or shits. But somehow, air and shits still find its way out of the tunnel and reach its goal.

And the girl, oh yeah, ain't she a BOMB? My oh my... Dude, she's so hot all the guys started the piss-on-each-other's-shoes party the moment she walked into the hall.

But ultimately, the most obvious trait that you have to possess, and to deal with at the same time, is you have to be willing to share A BLONDE with 23 other men.

A thrilling Alpha Male drama. Talking about putting 24 different species of monkey in a cage with a female monkey of yet another species.

How about the BLONDE?

She better have experience(s) with at least 24 men in her previous time, whether on singular or plural occasions, passion or professional.

It is sad to announce that due to some personal matters, our cool singer/songwriter Mohd Jayzuan had to pull out from Eco Film Fest 2010 performance on Saturday, 16th October 2010 at 5.00PM – 5.30PM slot. We do hope one day we'll get him to perform at one of our events.

But you know what they say, GREAT THINGS ALWAYS COME BY!

While we’re still looking for a replacement, came Senoritas - a breath of fresh air for Malaysia music industry, and they have been entertaining the fans since year 2008 and to continue the flame that fellow girl-groups like Elite and Feminin set alight years ago. An embodiment of youthful obsession with music, dance and fashion, it is hoped that Senoritas as an independent girl group can inspire fellow girls who aspire to tread in the same path and show that making it as a top girl group is more than just glitz and glamour: a lot of hard work, perseverance and strong values of sisterhood is needed. As of today, Senoritas had made quite a name for themselves in the independent circuit and they continue to give it their best shot to stay relevant and giving something fresh and spunky in local music scene.

Over time, their friendship is constantly growing stronger through the passion that they have for music and nature. Elton & Eileen aspire to continue working and writing songs together to promote environmental awareness through their songs and the community.

Wanted Symphony

Wanted Symphony is a 4-piece band that was formed in late 2009 by singer/songwriter/keyboardist Daniel Wong and guitarist Andrew Mok then later drummer David Chua and bassist Aaron Jiam completed the band’s lineup. The band brings together a fusion of sounds, a variety of influences and most definitely a whole lot of fun. Wanted Symphony dabbles in a genre of music they like to call ‘fusion rock’ – with a pinch of jazz thrown in the mix.

Since coming together in October last year, Wanted Symphony has been on an exciting musical journey and has never looked back since. To date, the band has written and arranged approximately eight songs and performs mostly original songs like ‘You Will Be Mine’, ‘Promise’ and jazzy tunes such as ‘Midnight Chatter’ and ‘Just You and Me’ have garnered much positive feedback.

Orang Asal Semai craftsman and musician Raman Bah Tuin has been supporting Eco Film Fest since day one. He performed his cultural music extensively to various events and gained his popularity with his outstanding ability to play flute using nose. The co-founder of Gerai OA (Gerai Orang Asal), Raman will share his special music that will surely brings us back to the sound of the nature.

Ferns

Ferns were cultivated a score of years ago in a patch of fertile land. Through natural selection, a little loving care and lots of sunlight, the band evolved into a lean, mean & green pop-song-writing machine. Our first-ever debut album, "On Botany" (2007) made nice enough noises to earn top spots on a number local and foreign publications' year-end Best Ofs.

Diandra Arjunaidi

Diandra is an eighteen year old bedroom songstress who was discovered on Youtube in November 2009. She landed her first gig that month itself, and played for Moonshine's Fourth Anniversary event at Laundry Bar. Since then, she has been featured on local music webshow, The Wknd Session, and has played numerous other shows at Cloth & Clef, No Black Tie and has been voted to play at Urbanscapes 2010 event.

Diandra is currently in her final year of pursuing a Diploma in Performing Arts in Sunway College, and has been busy juggling between shows in college, and gigs outside of college.

Their influences came from different types of music such as Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan, Cranberries, Neil Young, just to name a few. This happily married couple is one of the seniors in the music industry, and on top of that, they made songs which reflect the environment, nature and the world. DJ Xes! Xes! Loveseat

Lecturer at Limkokwing University by career, DJ by passion. Be it DJing under the punctuated moniker Xes! Xes! or the more romantic sounding Loveseat, his style is usually a mix of different formats and genres. His biggest influences are LCD Soundsystem, Tiga, Miss Kittin, Erol Alkan, Sven Vath, Giorgio Moroder and Kraftwerk.

He likes to be at the cutting edge of the various underground electronic scenes and at the same time always referring to and picking up styles from the history vault of electronic music. Don’t be surprised to listen to a mix set which runs from the 70’s right to the yet to be released. As Loveseat it’s usually very groovy with bags of surprises.

The third installation of Eco Film Fest is just around the corner, one week to be exact. Of course, one part that many of us are looking forward to, beside films (d'uhhh) is the music performance. This time it is called Power Down. Pow Pow Power Down!

Memorex Dream

Memorex Dream are an indie melodic pop band hailing from Petaling Jaya. As a group of primary school mates, what started off as a cover and wedding band playing pop hits from the 80s and 90s quickly spun off into a project to conceive and play original melodic pop songs. Key influences to their music are Sheila Majid, the Smiths, the Cardigans, Aztec Camera, Fleetwood Mac, My Bloody Valentine, Chic.

The Great Metropolitan Expressway

The Great Metropolitan Expressway (TGME) was formed not more than a year ago, consisting of three ambitious 20 year-old blokes hailing from Bangi, Kajang and Putrajaya. It all started when highschool buddies Izzy, Syahir and Zikri (former member) decided to pursue the more challenging task of writing and playing their own music. They were soon introduced to keyboardist Faridz by a mutual friend. These chaps eventually got together, jammed and immediately felt the substantial chemistry between them. TGME claim that their variation of progressive/spacey/post-electronic draws on influences such as 65 Days Of Static, Porcupine Tree, M83, Efterklang and Frost* to name a few. The band's name was remotely influenced by life's various phases, train stations and low shutter speeds. Surely, this is one band that you would want to keep an eye on.

Shh...Diam! is an all-girl rock band from Kuala Lumpur. The members of the band are Farah (Vocals/Lead Guitar), Yon (Second Guitar), Diyana (Bass) and Jellene (Drums). These young ladies started to jam together in August 2009. And they since then have played in more than twenty shows all around town. What do they look forward to? Mohd Jayzuan

At a glance, Mohd Jayzuan is a jovial yet nonchalant writer and musician, but underneath his friendly smile and hearty laughter is a serious artist as an author, poet and singer-songwriter. He is also often known in the Malaysian independent music scene as creator of honest music. With his current band, indie rock / noise pop act; Free Love, he sings of fun, friendship, God and of course, love. Apart from his writing, with his music, he has released an E.P, two albums and few compilations. He has been performing to neighboring countries like Singapore, Indonesia and Philippines, either playing solo as Mohd Jayzuan or with his band, Free Love.

In June 2010, his debut book entitled, ‘28 Hari: Jurnal Rock n’ Roll’ (28 Days: Rock n’ Roll Journal) was released and within a month, the first print of the book has sold out in Malaysia and gained rave reviews from local medias and literature scene. He have acted in some independent projects, TV series and in an indie film called, 'Konsekuensi' in Malaysia.

Goodbye 20th Century

Formed in late 2008 in Petaling Jaya by main noisemaker Andri. Begun life as a cover band for of 90’s alternative rock, but eventually evolved to a full fledged creative template exploring original compositions. Inspired by the biography of the influential alternative band Sonic Youth bearing the same name. The name also serves as a homage to the musical era the band members grew up with. Describing their sound inspired from various bands from The Stooges meets Pink Floyd meet Sonic Youth meets Soundgarden meets Radiohead meets Sun Ra meets an astronaut launching into a box full of stars. They also believe that "Sound is in a constant state of flux, never the same the second time around."

I haven't been writing for quite some time. Don't know why, neither what has been running through my mind lately, nor why nothing has been running through my mind. Don't really care either.

I've been talking to many people about many things, sharing equal amount of agreements as well as arguments.

So far, none is interesting enough for me to write back, or worth commenting here, not that they were boring, most of the conversations were interesting but rather unmoving. It left no impact to what I'm going through now, my real situation. To me, it's like looking at a big, beautiful house. You can imagine how wonderful it would be if you actually own that house (in present dream or future) with so many things you can do or fill it up with, but you know you don't want to live there, you can't imagine yourself living there, because it's not you, it's not who you really are, it's not what you want to be.

Maybe because works have taken so much energy from me that every time before I fall to sleep, I keep thinking about the next day. I'm not complaining about it, frankly, it's what we should be doing. Really. Otherwise, what are we going to do everyday? Daydream? Work smart, not work hard? I don't believe that. Do what you are passionate about? I think 90% of people who I had conversation with, always telling me about their passion about certain things (please exclude 'sex' as one of the points in this conversation) but are doing something on the contrary.

Why is that?

Speaking of daydream, Shaq and I had our routine chit-chat at home this one night, and it was Merdeka Eve. So I told him to write something from the word "M E R D E K A", and so did I. After a few minutes, he said:

Most Extraordinary Ridiculous Daydream Ever Kills Action.

Word.

Everybody daydream. But can I daydream all the time? Will anything change if I daydream all the time? Will I get rich? Can a tall building possibly appear all of the sudden, if ten thousand people daydream about building the tall building, all at the same time? But if these ten thousands each help place one brick a day according to the construction plan, imagine what will happen in one year. Now that's action.

Change.

Everybody says change is so great, but what so great about change?

Here's my piece of mind:

Survival of the fittest is not about being fit; It is about being adaptable to CHANGE.

If President Barack Obama earned his presidency seat from his campaign "HOPE", I will earn mine with "CHANGE".

Bangah memandu. Gua di kerusi co-pilot. Papa, Kangah, Kenit dan Boy di belakang. Memang macam sardin, nasib baik naik V6.

Mama tak ikut, masih sibuk memasak kat rumah. Kalau tidak seorang memang kena baring atas bumbung.

Boot belakang tak boleh buka, baru-baru ni ada penyamun cuba umpil, habis rosak lubang kunci. Nak repair macam bukan masa yang sesuai, maklumlah Raya dah dekat masa tu, duit dah habis tanggung benda-benda lain, kata Bangah masa gua sedang sibuk-sibuk nak letak barang-barang di belakang kereta. Memang penuhlah bawah kaki dengan beg, botol air, kasut, suratkhabar, macam-macam lagi. Sabar sajalah...

"Kita nak ikut jalan mana satu ni?" Bangah tanya.

"Mana-mana pun boleh. Biasa kita ikut NKVE. Tapi kalau ikut Guthrie terus sampai, ikut jalan belakang." Papa beri cadangan. "Cuma Guthrie tu kita tak biasa ikut, Papa ingat-ingat lupa jalan dia."

"Saya ingat rasanya Papa," kata Bangah.

"Okaylah kalau kau ingat. Ikut Guthrie lah."

"Kita nak masuk ikut mana?"

"Kenapa tak ikut jalan biasa saja? Senang sikit rasanya. Tapi kalau lu nak ikut Guthrie pun takda hal. Cuma gua tak sure jalan tu. kalau lu on, gua on," gua seperti biasa lagi, tak kisah sangat.

"Hmm.. Gua takda hal kalau nak ikut NKVE, sama je kot. Guthrie dekat sikitlah rasanya, itu saja."

"Okaylah macam tu kita ikut Guthrie. Cepat sikit kita sampai kubur."

Terdiam.

Bangah pandang gua, "Lain macam lu punya ayat tu bro. Gua taknak 'cepat sampai kubur'."

Gua hampir tersedak bila gua flashback ayat gua tadi.

"Wow, that was really awkward," gua separuh tersengih. "Okaylah, kita ikut NKVE. Gua pun taknak 'cepat sangat sampai kubur'."

Walaupun Ops Sikap tiap-tiap tahun dijalankan sebagai peringatan kepada pengguna-pengguna jalan raya yang rata-ratanya rela disaman daripada sampai lambat ke destinasi.
Walaupun pengendali lebuhraya berbelanja besar meningkatkan mutu serta tahap keselamatan lebuhraya masing-masing walaupun ia bersifat sementara.
Walaupun anda telah minum empat tin Red Bull yang berpotensi merosakkan hati dan buah pinggang serta sudah tidur 20 jam sebelum memulakan perjalanan.
Walaupun memandu dengan mematuhi had laju serta undang-undang di jalan raya walaupun anda tidak tahu undang-undang jalan raya kerana memiliki lesen terbang.

Teori dia masih sama: makin sesak sesuatu tempat itu, makin tinggilah peluang sesuatu kecelakaan akan berlaku. Tak percaya? Cuba tengok protes jalanan, cuba tengok konsert mega. Sekarang, gandakan seratus (dianggarkan lebih 1.4 juta kenderaan sehar menggunakan lebuh raya di musim perayaan).

Lagipun semua orang dah kenyang makan lemang, makan rendang, makan lontong bagai, memanglah kebas satu badan.

Last week I was invited to come for the announcement of the Ambassador for TX2, which stands for "Double The Number of Tigers". This is a campaign by WWF-Malaysia to help raise awareness to the public and to conserve the tigers from extinction.

The finalists for ambassador were Jeremy Teo, Rina Omar, Sazzy Falak, Mooky and Aishah Sinclair. Guess who was crowned?

The newly-crowned Tiger Ambassador for WWF-Malaysia, Sazzy Falak will be "berdiri sama tinggi, duduk sama rendah" with the Tiger Ambassadors from WWF-US, Leonardo DiCaprio, and from WWF-India, Abhishek Bachan. Not a bad deal.

I went for the launching of Dulux Paint Bank Campaign last week, as EcoKnights is the partner for this campaign.

Basically you can donate your left over paints at their four collection points throughout this month of June.

Forget the rumors, or the news, she's HOT HOT HOT!

For this campaign, Dulux will donate one litre of paint for every one litre of paint donated in this campaign, up to 20,000 litres. Then they will organise community projects by painting needy homes, assisted by EcoKnights.

Do you know how many houses you can paint with that amount of paints? 200 houses.

Just after we done with the FREE CHOCOLATE BUFFET slightly after 2.00pm, we were soo hungry and couldn't afford to go back to Damansara or KL to look for good lunch. But since Bangi is my hometown, and I pretended that I know all the hotspots in Bangi. Heh!

So Shaq drove his car to the left and to the right and here and there. And we saw:

"This is a nice restaurant. Let's go." I said. The rest followed. See, I told you. *grin*

I've been extra occupied and busy for the last four weeks, hence the lack of updates. May should be the month where I go out and have fun since it's my birthday month, but I think this year I took a different direction, and I took a freelance job, a 3-week contract job.

I was really busy and sitting down in front of laptop for 10 hours every day for three weeks, kept me out of many fun things I should have done. But again, I have my priorities and I must stick to my objectives.

But during those busy days, I had some time observing and make my life more interesting.

Crowd was still thin, but just nice. Hung outside for a while, to smoke (Euphoria has a no-smoking policy in their club, except for some designated areas). Then the boys and I settled down at the VIP section, because downstairs was heating up.

Another thing is that upstairs is less noisy, well at least I can have a decent conversation without shouting and doing some stupid body signs.

We waited for Steve Aoki for at least one hour, it was until almost 1.30am, he walked behind our table, escorted by a bunch of security personnel, a groupie and some weird people.

Crowds were shouting like crazy, and he didn't wait long considering he was fucking late already. I heard he was so busy signing on the tees and merchandises.

I came down and made my way closer to the front deck.

And that was just as far as I went to. I'm a boring person, I know.

Gua masih tak berapa cam dengan pelat ala-ala Jepun mamat yang telipon gua tu.

"Ru surah tak ingat sama gua ka bro?", nadanya macam hampa.

"Oki?", gua teka-teka saja.

"Hahaha ya bro ya! Ru masih ingat sama gua...", pulak gua dengar suara Oki macam sebak-sebak gembira.

Gua masih rilek. Lama juga tak jumpa Oki.

"Bro, gua tau ru punya birthday hari Isnin, itu pasal gua gua datang inni harriii mau cerebrate sama rruuuu!"

"Okeh, lu tunggu gua kat sana Oki. Gua dah on the way, lagi seploh menit gua sampei."

"Gua caya sama rruuuu!" Oki jerit ala-ala David Arumugam punya 'trimaseyyy!' yang merupakan kegilaan Oki sejak kecil.

Gua sentuh skrin iPhone gua untuk memotong perbualan.

"Siapa tu?", tanya Shaq, sepupu gua.

"Oki, kawan lama gua."

Suasana dalam kereta Shaq kembali hening.

Suasana sangat gamat. Beribu manusia macam-macam fesyen ada. Semua demi melihat kehebatan Oki di atas pentas.

Gua nampak kelibat seorang mamat berambut panjang, berbaju tanpa lengan, seluar hitam ketat dan kasut hi-top yang agak ranggi naik pentas.

Jeritan manusia-manusia ini makin galak bagai kena rasuk pontianak bila kelibat Oki muncul di atas pentas.

Oki! Oki! Oki! Oki! Oki!

Gua sengih sorang-sorang. Tak sangka lu dah semakin ramai peminat Oki. Tak sia-sia lu lari rumah, merantau sampai ke negara penjajah, akhirnya lu berjaya juga cipta nama.

Jam Nixon yang dah lama gua tak pakai sebab tunggu nak ganti tali dia sikit punya lama menunjukkan hampir tiga pagi.

Nak kena chow ni, gua agak.

"Shaq, gua nak turun bawah kejap, nak jumpa kawan gua. Lepas tu kita chow, oke?"

Shaq angguk sambil tunjuk tanda 'ibu jari ke atas'.

Gua jalan perlahan dalam kegelapan yang bersilih ganti lampu perbagai warna, menuju ke arah pentas, gelanggang Oki menunjuk taring.

Gua pandang tepat ke arah Oki bila gua dah berada betul-betul di depan pentas.

"OKI!!!" jerit gua, mencuba menenggelamkan jeritan hiruk-pikuk ribuan yang lain.

Oki tersentap, semacam terdengar satu suara yang amat familiar. Oki terus menoleh ke kanannya.

Tanpa berlengah, Oki terus meluru ke arah gua.

"BRRROOOO!!!" Jerit Oki sambil memegang mikrofon. Satu dewan bergema. Yang lain makin dirasuk.

"Rama gua tarak jumpa sama rruuu! Ru apa khabarrrr??!", sambil dia menghulur tangan kepada gua, minta berjabat.

Gua sambut huluran salam Oki, kawan lama gua.

"Baguslah Oki, lu sudah berjaya. Gua tumpang gembira.", gua terpaksa jerit sebab bising sangat.

"Tapi karau bukan kerana nasihat dan sokongan ru, gua takkan berjaya sampai sekarang..."

"A man makes his own destiny, Oki."

"Thank you bro.", kata Oki sambil tahan airmata daripada meleleh.

Oki pusing ke kiri dan terus sapu bawah mata, cover line daripada dilihat oleh peminat-peminat lain.

"I'M IN THE HOUSE!", Oki laungkan dan terus melambai tangan kepada peminat yang fanatik.

I think many of us are not very keen on all these "I-need-a-specific-date-to-celebrate Day", and I'm pretty sure that many of these many think it's just a joke. Let me list down few of the so-called "Day":

Anyways, today marks the 40th year celebration, or shall I say "acknowledgment", of the Earth Day.

Funny isn't it? The Earth has been around for about 4.5 billion years, and she just received the Birth Certificate, 40 years ago.

Kidding.

I don't mean to be rude to anyone, especially not to the Mother Earth. Nanti kena panah petir dohh..

So yeah, Ouch Media and EcoKnights (which I'm volunteering for) is organising a special event called the Earth Day Carnival since 15 April 2010, until 25 April 2010. This is happening at Ikano Power Centre, Damansara from 10.00am to 10.00pm.

Earth Day Carnival @ Ikano aims to set a clear example for people and businesses how simple lifestyle changes can make a difference. For example, it will feature wide-ranging on-site recycling demonstrations, sales of green products and services and food vendors providing organic and meatless delicious food that require few wasteful utensils. Additional highlights of the day will include environment displays and demonstrations, interactive and educational booths by many local environmental non-profit and small business groups, performances by local and regional musicians, arts and crafts, and a Kids’ Zone for youngsters. Elevate your weekend

Versi skema haram.

Last Sunday my cousin Shaq, his girlfriend Tia, and I went to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa for an event called Elevate, organised by Elevate, and co-organised by DiGi. We made our move from Ikano Power Centre to Tasik Titiwangsa at about 4.00pm.

We arrived at the venue half an hour after that. The weather was quite hot, but it looked like it's going to be cloudy later. Nevermind.

The ticket for the event was RM10, but the good thing is, you pay ticket RM10, you'll receive F&B coupon worth RM7 + RM3 = RM10. Mathematically, it was a free event, wasn't it?

We missed the performance by Robot Asmara the time we arrived, and the band called An Honest Mistake was already performing. They are actually quite good, to be honest. I'm not sure why they named themselves that, they should have named themselves "To Be Honest," (with comma), sounds more honest, he he he. But honestly, they should loose the second frontwoman (I don't know her name). Stick to one guy singer or get a better second girl singer. That girl was trying to be Hayley Williams, I guess. Nowadays semua orang mau jadi Hayley Williams, I told myself, grinning. But I still support local bands nonetheless, I'm just trying to be honest, that's all.

An Honest Mistake

Next up was a Ska/Punk/Rock-you-can-form-a-soccer-team band, Forty Winks. They have been in the industry for a couple of years already, and I enjoyed their music. I personally think they know music quite well. Pun ada perempuan menyanyi juga.

After they finished, it was Bittersweet. But while waiting for the boys to set up, three of us decided to take a walk outside, by the lake. For all we knew, we have walked quite far and by the time we arrived at the venue again, Bittersweet had finished their performance. Demmit, demmit. I really like the band.

Here's what happened to me

I have to say, the frustration was instantly washed away by Love Me Butch. Oh boy, they never failed to entertain me. They're just rock-solid. A true 4-piece band, and rocking it to the max. Nothing much to comment as Syarul and the boys always deliver the 'screamo-est' performance.

Apart from the music performances, Elevate also set up a cool 'VIP Truck', where all the guests with VIP wrist tags can go in, chill in the air-conditioned space, and play games.

It's almost 7.00pm and Pesawat has landed on the stage with their usual Pramugaru. The sky was getting darker and more cloudy, and ready to pour everything down, any time. Crowds were not giving up, they stood there and enjoyed the performance. It was an 'okay' performance, probably because I'm not a big fan of them, but still a fan of local bands.

Pesawat departed from the stage, and Hujan came over, both literally and figuratively. I really like Hujan, and I was soaked in hujan, but I had fun playing in the hujan. The Raingers (so the Hujan fans are called) never bothered the hujan, as they were dancing to Hujan. Good performance from them, like every other time.

Event ended almost 8.00pm and everyone left right after. The turn out was disappointing, as the bands were good. Rain was getting heavier, and all three of us walk as fast as we can to the car, which was about a kilometre away.

Luckily the organiser was very alert and understanding about the scene event scenes in Malaysia, as the provided the crowd with free disposable raincoats. And it helped all of us got through until the end of the show! One of the small, but crucial observation and understanding.

There are few reasons why I started "Sado-Fashionist":

I love fashion.
I couldn't find any men fashion blog, who specifically writes mostly about men fashion. Although you see me posting about myself most of the times, it is only because I write about what I like. Obviously what I wear is what I like too. Simple math.
Even though 'fashion' will be the major topic in the blog, I will still write about something slightly off the topic, such as arts, films, music, designs, architectures - anything fashionable. After all, fashion is merely what's in your wardrobe. It's a state of mind.
I often heard, "Fashion is temporary; Style, is forever." Well, how can a style be 'forever', if fashion wasn't there to create your own style?
Like I said, I only write what I like, therefore this blog is also my personal interpretation of the idea of fashion from my point of view. It has nothing to do with what other people think (or it does), and I welcome any comments/criticism/feedback.
I will try to keep this blog true to my beliefs in fashion and everything in between, and I will also try to keep it simple and real. If you wish to read about fashion that's probably different from my style, please, with all due respect, read elsewhere.

Actually we do talk crap things all the time, so we will write anything we want or we feel like, but at the end of the day, it has something that all of us can learn from, or think about. Or not. Whatever.
We would like to open an invitation to those who believe they belong in this cult, to be one of the writers. They can have existing blogs, just like me.
Every writers have different style of writing. Some are more serious, some are stupid, some are crazy. It doesn't matter, as long as we have the same wavelength of thinking. To simplify it, WE NEED CRAZY PEOPLE.

Stereophonics Live in KL

Kotak yang sejuk

Gila lama gua tak memasak. Sebelum ni memang leceh sebab gua tak ada storage system yang bagus, jadi bahan-bahan mentah yang gua beli tak boleh tahan lama. Kena masak itu jam juga, kalau tidak nanti busuk. Mudahnya: TAK ADA PETI SEJUK.

Jadi bulan lepas setelah mengikat perut dan peras ugut orang sekeliling gua, berjaya lah juga gua sambar sepeti kotak sejuk. Jadi biasa lah, perasaan nak memasak datang balik. Macam orang angau tengah hangat bercinta; hari-hari gua belek fridge tu, hari-hari gua lap tak kasi kotor, hari-hari gua menatang minyak yang penuh. Yang paling best, hari-hari ada air sedap. Kalau nak tau, tunggu nanti gua buat parti minum-minum.

Tak dapat Evo 10, yang ini pun jadi lah...

Kebetulan (atau bukan) sekarang dah tengah bulan, gua sudah sengkek. Apa lagi, malam semalam merupakan peluang terbaik gua untuk masak dinner.

Engaged: Zul & Intan

Finally, last Saturday my closest cousin Zul got engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Intan.

Their love story is considered epic. First they hooked up both at the age of 15 (gatal!), went on for about five years and they broke up, and both of them moved on their own ways.

Suddenly after four years of no-contact policy, somehow the flame is still somewhere underneath their hearts, only need the right chemical to spark it again. And it did. They both dated again for another three years, and voilla!

It might not sound that interesting the way I wrote it, but believe me, I know their story, and it's really inspiring. Talking about things you'd do for love.

Anyways, congratulations to Zul & Intan. And I'll be the best man this coming December, again.

Placebo: The Concert

And so I went to the Placebo: Live in Kuala Lumpur last month.

I reached there almost 9.00pm. There was a very long queue of people, waiting to get in the concert venue, KL Live.

I was thrilled to see Placebo performing, because I believe they make good music. Unbiased, I would say. And I got free tickets to, so double the joy.

Twilight ActionGirl just finished their set when I entered the hall.

It was jam-packed already

And then everyone were shouting and screaming and I see,

The poem is called Invictus, a Latin word that means "unconquerable, undefeated". This is a poem where the President of South Africa, The Honorable Nelson "Madiba" Mandela held on to, for 27 years of imprisonment at Robben Island.

Actually I saw the film "Invictus" last night. It was directed by a man who needs no further introduction in the film industry, Clint Eastwood. The film is based by the book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed a Nation by John Carlin.

This film is as inspirational as any inspiration could ever be. Gosh I can still feel the goosebumps, even greater than Barack Obama's Presidential Victory Speech in November 2008.

Please spare some time to watch this short documentary of Nelson Mandela during the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa.

The documentary was narrated by Morgan Freeman, and he eventually landed the role of Madiba himself in the film. Matt Damon played the role of Francois Pienaar, the captain of South Africa 'Springboks' rugby team that won the historical 1995 Rugby World Cup.

This is a film where you see, and you start to think how patriotic you are for your country, for your people. We should take learn many lessons from this film, as this is a film we should all see, and let other people see too; our people, our country, our nation, our 1Malaysia.

That's how the Negri Sembilan people pronounce it.

Went for lunch just now just nearby my office. Saw a banner on "LUNCH SET OFFER!" this morning so I thought, yeah why not.

Don't have much to say. Just look at the pictures.

Overall, I thought the food was nice, the place is really cozy I feel like going again, the price for "LUNCH SET OFFER!" is fair, except that they charged RM3 for tidbits that they serve on the table and not telling us that we have to pay for it. Other than that, I would recommend this place to you people.

On the way back, I saw this one very nice and neat house, still under construction.

It felt like, a place I would love to go home to every day. We'll see in a few months, whether or not the house still gives me the same vibe.
